FDA #issues allergy #alert on several #trail #mixes due to #undeclared #milk

The Food and Drug Administration is making consumers aware of a possible allergen left off the label of some trail mixes.

Colorado Nut Company is recalling several mixes because they may contain undeclared milk. The FDA says people who are allergic or severely sensitive to milk could face a life-threatening reaction if consumed.

The products being recalled are:

  • Cashew Cranberry Cherry Jubilee
  • Oat Bran Nutty Crunch
  • Honey Nutty Granola
  • Peanut Delight
  • Frontier Trail Mix

The FDA says the trail mixes were distributed from June 1 through November 7 of 2017 to 16 states, including Oklahoma. The products are in 8 oz. bags with either “Colorado Nut Company” labeled on the front or “Distributed by Colorado Nut Company” in the bottom right hand corner of the back label.

So far, the FDA or the company have received no reports of illness connected to the recall.
