A man was stabbed during an attempted robbery and a business was robbed of an undisclosed amount of cash in separate incidents overnight on South Claiborne Avenue in New Orleans, police said.
The stabbing occurred about 9 p.m. in the 4200 block of S. Claiborne, when a 51-year-old man was approach from behind by someone who demanded his property, according to a news release by the NOPD. The victim felt a sharp pain and realized he had been stabbed. He walked to a hospital for treatment.
Just after 1 a.m. Sunday, two unknown men, one armed, entered a Shell gas station in the 2100 block of S. Claiborne and demanded money, police said. The cashier complied and the robbers fled with cash.
